Jacen Bridges ’04 is an Oregon Tech Owl through and through! He began his Oregon Tech journey as a student in the Communication Studies department, during which time he co-founded Oregon Technical Broadcasting (the student-run digital media program) and was honored with the Most Dedicated Student Award in 2004.
Since his return to Oregon Tech in 2022 as the Annual Giving Manager, Jacen has significantly enhanced the annual giving initiatives, including the Employee Giving Campaign, #GivingTuesday, and Oregon Tech’s largest single-day fundraiser, Give A Hoot Day. In this role, he enjoyed reconnecting with alumni and deepening the University’s relationships with alumni near and far. In December 2023, he stepped up as Interim Director of Alumni Relations, managing both annual giving and alumni relations since then.
Jacen officially began his tenure as Director of Alumni Relations on June 3, 2024. In this role, he will lead Oregon Tech’s Alumni Relations programs, focusing on developing meaningful engagement opportunities for alumni that strengthen the long-term relationships between alumni, current students, and the University. He looks forward to learning from the alumni community about their preferred ways of staying connected and collaborating with the Alumni Advisory Board to support and strengthen alumni engagement.

Before returning to Oregon Tech, Jacen worked in the film industry, including time at DreamWorks Animation SKG and he went on to found Eagle Eye Films, a video marketing company. He has already planned an exciting array of events for alumni to reconnect this year. All Oregon Tech alumni are invited to join upcoming events and share their engagement ideas with Jacen. Events include the Golden Owls Reunion in Klamath Falls, a Jetboat Excursion in Grants Pass, an Alumni BBQ in Reno, a Seattle Mariners Game in Seattle, and a Portland Timbers Game in Portland.
